Approach

Carly believes in being adaptable; tailoring her approach to the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each client. She draws from evidence-informed modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based practices, strengths-based approaches, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Additionally, Carly recently became certified in clinical hypnotherapy and can now integrate hypnotherapy into her existing services when appropriate. Alongside discussion-based work, Carly often incorporates worksheets, games, and creative activities to support engagement, emotional expression, and skill development, particularly when working with children and adolescents. In addition to her regular social work practice, Carly is currently completing the supervised clinical training required to obtain her psychotherapy permit with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ). As part of this training, she is providing individual psychotherapy using a psychodynamic approach under external supervision.
